Pre Worlds 2010 1-2 May in Lelystad, The Netherlands?

Dear All,

I have been working on an international event for May 2010.

Initially I was focusing on a 4 days European Championship starting at May 13. This is too much and the risk disappointing people is too big.

After discussing it with some local people I have decided to name it differently and limit it to 2 days.
Currently I'm focusing on Saturday May 1st and Sunday May 2nd.

Be aware that Friday April 30 is our queensday and a day off for us. There will be a lot of festivities all over our country till late in the evening.
So a lot of fun to be over here.

Main focus is to sail, sail and sail!
So I don’t have the intention to have a big side program in the evening or for accompanying people.
Be aware that I have to organize this all on my own. No support from others over here due to all kind of valid reasons.

Still I would like to organize a serious event as preparation for the up coming Worlds in Argentina coming August!
Some of us would like to go to the Worlds and would like to test their equipment in a serious event!

Last Monday I have spoken with someone and he has offered me an alternate location in Lelystad near the Ijsselmeer. I know the place very well.
Good wind conditions over there.

There is a Hotel nearby on less than 7 km on the other side of the lake.
Capacity is 17 double rooms.

Camping is at the regatta side and in the clubhouse there is a joined sleeping room with 16 beds.

The coming week I'll check with the people of the Regatta Centre what will be feasible and what the costs involved will be.

You all would be of great help if you could let me know if this regatta will fit in your agenda and what the interest is.
Would you be so kind to check who is seriously interested to come to this regatta and let me know.

I would like to decide by the end of next week (January 29) so I need your feed back in the coming days!

Based on the expected number of entries I'll make a decision on Friday January 29.

Llevo trabajando en una regatta internacional en Holanda para el mes de mayo.
En un principio pensaba en un campeonato europeo, a partir del 13 de mayo, pero es demasiado con demasiado riesgo de decepcionar a la gente.
Despues de tratarlo con alguna gente local, he decidido llamarlo diferente y poner un limite de 2 dias, y estoy actualmente pensando en sabado-domingo el 1-2 de mayo.
Tened en cuenta que el viernes 30 de abril es el dia de la Reina y y fiesta para nosotros y habra fiestas por todo el pais hasta muy entrada la noche.
La idea principal es navegar, navegar y navegar.
Asi que no pretendo organizar un programa grande por las tardes o por los acompañantes. Tengo que organizarlo yo solo sin el apoyo de otros por toda clase de razones validas.
Sin embargo, quisiera organizar una competicion seria como preparacion para el campeonato mundial en BBAA en agosto!
Algunos queremos participar en el mundial y probar su equipo en una regata seria!

El lunes pasado hable con alguien quien me ofrecio una locacion distinta en Lelystad cerca del Ijsselmeer. Conozco el lugar muy bien y tiene buenas condiciones de viento.

Hay un hotel cercano a menos de 7 km en el otro lado del lago con 17 habitaciones dobles.

Hay un camping en el lado de la regata y en el edifico del club hay un dormitorio adjunto con 16 camas.

La semana que viene comprobare con la gente del centro de regatas si es factible y el coste.

Me podriais ayudar muchisimo si me decis si podeis o os interesa venir y ademas comprobar quienes son realmente interesados en venir para que yo este informado.

Me gustaria decidir pare finales de la semana que viene (el 29 de enero), asi que necisito vuestras respuestas durante los proximos dias!

Segun la cantidad de gente que acude, tomare una decision el viernes 29 de enero.
