Thai Sail Numbers Registration

Postby Roland Gienger » Tue May 26, 2009 11:54 am

Following is the central register of the Thai RG65 fleet.
To make it as easy as possible to register a boat on line, please copy the previous entry and then add your registration, or send me a PM and I will do it for you.
Numbers started at THA 001, special non consecutive numbers can be provided if the numbers are still free. In this case the sail number should be marked (NBR).

I think it's normally the case for RG65 to allocate 1 sail number per person and that number is used on all that person's boats.
The hull is then marked "Hull nº/sail nº" to give a unique reference.

This makes sense for me - at the beginning I did follow the GBR forum which gives the numbers by boat. I will talk with Phanchita about unique numbers per owner and maybe adopt this system. We are just starting and it would be easy to change the system now.
Thank you for your comment.

Is that the same Phanchita who made the RG65 trimaran? If so he's got a lot of people interested.

Yes Phanchita is the one who made the 65cm tri, I'm building another one too. Those tris are amazing toys.

We have discussed the issue regarding sail numbers per boat or per owner. It makes more sense to have one number per owner. I have corrected the sail numbers list and deleted the double entry. I more Thai owners will find this place and register their boats here.
